Droptimus... cause I thought that this actually looks good in RED! (I was reminded of the fuglyish Alternators Prime, and thought that 'hey! this could actually work!') A couple of reasons I thought this would work: the ute thing(no idea what it's supposed to be called...a pickup?) has been used before for Optimus, and it's worked before! Then, there's the glass window chest, and the grille abs and faux bumper waist *and* a face mask! So many similarities! So I set out to make this work!

So, how'd it happen? I'd bought some enamel paints and whacked them onto this guy's main body and it worked pretty well.. until I accidentally wrapped him in tissue to carry him home... and it stuck to the paint. Dammit. And then, when I transformed him, the paint scraped off terribly. No fix for that just yet- So will just hang with that. The end result though, I really love! If you look at the back, he's not really 100% painted- but enamels seem to take forever to dry! The only thing I want to try now with him is replace his head with the proto prime head... (Got a spare one to sell to me? )

Blackout
Blackout!!! He's had a pretty-much full-body repaint. He's a much duller blue steel grey colour that really befits him - works for the military chopper that he is! The usual dry brushing of of silver, but not just dirtying it up - more of a full colouring 'cleaner' look but still mixes with my other repaints.
Shiney black windscreens for him, too! I love this mold and how the automorph works as well! Hadn't appreciated it until this repaint! Also did the black lining with black ink and brush

Simple easy repaint but with nice little detail here and there I love how his lil red eyes turned out, too!

Phew. That's it for now I forgot to take photos of my Barricade repaint! I've chrome silvered up bits and pieces and given him a brand-spankin' new head! (yes, like Jin Saotome's ... the Robot Replicas one!!! )

the metal chrome appearance on blackout is really nice, overall it the plastic navy look is gone mkaing it look awesome
